Pellet Settings
The Pellet Drive Settings screen has two pages (1/2 and 2/2). Use More > / < Back to switch pages, Save to apply, Cancel to discard, and Reset Profile to restore the pellet profile to its defaults.
Page 1
- Lid Detection? When enabled, the controller watches for a sudden drop in pit temperature (an open lid) and temporarily pauses driving the fire so it doesn’t overreact while the lid is open.
- Minutes: How long (1–20 min) the drive stays paused after a lid-open event is detected before resuming normal control.
- Priming Seconds: How long (1–600 s) the auger runs at startup to fill/prime the auger tube with pellets before ignition begins. Useful after running out of pellets or for a fresh hopper.
- Ignition Minutes: The maximum time (1–25 min) allowed for the ignitor to light the pellets. If the fire isn’t established in this window, the start attempt is considered failed.
- Setpoint Confirm? When enabled, the user must confirm a new target temperature before it takes effect (guards against accidental setpoint changes).

- Pit Probe Offset: A calibration adjustment (−50 to +50°) added to the pit probe reading so it matches a known reference. Shown in your current temperature units.
- Min Auger Duty %: The minimum auger duty cycle (1–100%) used during normal control. This sets the lowest fuel-feed rate, keeping the fire alive at low demand without stalling.
- Start Seconds: The initial auger ON time (10–600 s) during the startup phase that feeds the first charge of pellets into the firepot to get ignition going.
- Probe Type: Selects the pit RTD probe element: PT-1000 (1000 Ω) or PT-100 (100 Ω). Must match the physical probe installed or readings will be wrong.
