DC Fan Settings
The DC Fan Drive Settings screen is a single page. Use Save to apply, Cancel to discard, and Reset Profile to restore the fan profile to its defaults.
- Lid Detection? When enabled, the controller detects an open lid (via switch or temperature slope) and temporarily pauses fan-driven heating so it doesn’t overreact.
- Minutes: How long (1-20 min) the drive stays paused after a lid-open event before resuming normal control.
- Bypass Lid Switch Chooses how lid-open is detected. Off uses the hardware lid switch input; On bypasses the physical switch and detects the lid in software from the pit temperature drop (use when no lid switch is wired).
- Max Fan Speed %: Caps the maximum fan speed (10-100%). Lowering it limits peak airflow and top-end heat/burn rate.
- Pit Probe Offset: A calibration adjustment (−50 to +50°) added to the pit probe reading to match a known reference. Shown in your current temperature units.
- Pit Probe Type: Selects the pit probe element: Type K (thermocouple) or PT1000 (RTD). Must match the physical probe installed or readings will be wrong.
